Focus Goalkeeping Sessions are a highlight of my daughter’s week.  The small group sessions allow flexibility for players to work on specific skills and get personalized feedback. Our daughter has been training with Focus GK for a few years now.  The weekly training sessions focus on a range of technical skills down to the small details about the keeper’s set position, balance, and footwork.  Our daughter has felt more confident in her shot stopping, diving, extension diving and crosses since she began training with Focus.  We have noticed a significant difference in our daughter’s game and the level of confidence she exhumes during games.  The training environment is fun, but hard working and all the coaches are high level.  Our daughter looks forward to her weekly training with Focus and walks away feeling more confident in her decision making and shot blocking skills which she takes out on the game field every time.  Kim's training has helped our daughter take her game to the next level!

Once our daughter became serious about playing the position of goalkeeper, we realized that she would benefit from supplemental training, outside of club.  The biggest challenge for us was finding a female coach who could be a positive role model as well.  We were fortunate be introduced to Kim Kern & Focus Goalkeeping - the training they have provided our daughter has been top notch!  Not only are their sessions intense and specific on a physical level, but on an intellectual one as well.  The Focus staff teaches the athletes how to play the position safely and properly, while teaching them how to prepare mentally and think through the possibilities of what could happen.  The sessions are also small enough that the coaches can get to know the athletes and adjust accordingly based on each goalkeeper's needs.

Focus is an incredible program for goalkeepers that want to raise their level of play.  My daughter has trained with other professionals, but Kim & her staff have a way of getting the best out of her.  I have never seen her train harder, and her skill level has elevated.  We both cannot wait until the next training session - as a parent, I get to watch the highest level of professionalism!

Kim Kern is an excellent, informative, and organized coach who is knowledgeable about all aspects of goalkeeping.  She is able to spot the areas which I am weak in, break down the cause(s) behind it, and provide insight as to how I could better my play.  Her Focus GK sessions have been very beneficial to me as they cover the entire spectrum of goalkeeping so I can gain consistency where I am strong, and improve in needed areas.  Altogether, with Focus trainings I have been able to better myself as a player - both physically and mentally.
